Like I hate it obviously, no one should have a monopoly over land but really its just a harsh strategy to dominate. Its allowed in the rules and its just not sporting or "fair" however it is allowed and they have taken advantage of that.

Yeah but its not punishable and personally I think shouldn't be, one of the things I like about this game is you can do whatever you want (except straight up scamming people).

i understand your point of view, but it gets to a point where it actively impacts how other people play the game. i can't buy property and yet xdcd pays $11,000 a day in land tax, in a singular city. thats more than my net worth, per day. you should be able to prosper but it can get to a point where its not prospering, its greed and avarice.
