If the top wage is lower, ALL WAGES are lower. INCLUDING YOURS. If everyone lowers the salaries, everyone benefits from lower costs, and thus higher profits. The thing you are doing now, is actively working against the community sense, just to get access to the most workers right now.
I'm also increasing wages to $60+ too then, "to keep my production running" šš, there's absolutely no point in doing this if not everyone is doing the same. Too bad guys, we tried, but I'm not going to have my companies have 0 workers because of people like this.
