XDCD's net worth & land development
@XDCD's net worth has dropped just below 5 kk

While his monetary net worth may have tanked, he invested multi-millions into developing land and construction projects, which increased the value of that land.
A lot of the previously empty land has now been built up, and this has cost 10s or even 100s of thousands of USD per piece of land. Any player interested in buying land should realize it's undoubtedly going to cost even more than before the July 2025 tax changes were implemented.
I'd roughly estimate @XDCD would ask around $500k for a plot of land, maybe $600k if it already has a building on it.

@lucius thinks Cement's high price is ending soon but I disagree (unless he has inside info or seen some Chapter 11 papers? 😉). There's still a $0.70/kg bid for over 300k Cement on The Exchange, but it could be retracted at any moment.

On top of that, there's still a lot of undeveloped land that XDCD owns.
Most of Sao Paulo (Brazil) for example still needs to be developed.
There are currently 21 empty land in Sao Paulo costing -> BRL 500.00/land/day x 21 land = BRL 10 500/day ~= USD 19 000/day.
Empty land owned by @XDCD or a company owned by him (at the time of writing):
Herlinki/Finland is almost full; 3 empty land left
Germany/Berlin is almost full; 5 empty land left
Brazil/Sao Paulo has 21 empty land left
USA/LA: 9 empty
USA/Chicago: 4 empty
USA/NYC 9 + 2 (Communism) = 11 empty
Total: 53 empty land
28 plots of land have been built on since the last report I made on the 18th of August
If I understand this post from @Admin correctly, it means that before 24 Sept @XDCD could get away with paying land tax only once every 7 days. So instead of paying the ~$100k daily I estimated, in reality he only had to pay 1/7 of that amount. This would mean he could get away with paying the equivalent of barely USD ~15 000/day. Naughty but clever.
He has built up most of Germany which significantly reduced his overhead from EUR 25 000 to EUR 5 000 by doing so. Surely a worthy investment.
With the "Important Land Tax Change"-update this number has been reduced to once every 3 days. Assuming he uses the same tactic, it would a little more than double his cost. But since he has already built on quite a lot of expensive land this number went down.
Quick recalculation:
USA = 24 empty x USD 1 000/day = USD 24 000/day
Germany = 5 empty x EUR 1 000/day = EUR 5 000/day ~= USD 10 000/day
Brazil = 21 empty x BRL 500/day = BRL 10 500/day ~= USD 20 000/day
Finland = 3 empty x EUR 500/day = EUR 1 500/day ~= USD 3 000/day
The taxes are around USD 57 000/day but if he uses the above tactic and pays once every 3 days, this goes down to USD ~19 000/day. Barely more than what he paid previously, when it was still once every 7 days.

Unfortunately my budget doesn't come close to joining the bidding, but I'm still curious to see how it turns out.
Currently the highest bid is at USD 20 000.00 by Home Depot Cement (owned by @lucius). He has amassed a large amount of funds, being one of the biggest employers since the Cement-industry boom.

Land is highly desired, and tomorrow we'll know who has the deepest pockets to outbid the rest on this rare opportunity to get their hands on a plot of land.
Additionally, the land next to the one up for auction, 3rd Street 4, Chicago is owned by @JzK, another player who seems to have not played for a while (last seen 357 days ago). The question is whether @JzK returns before their money runs out or if we will see this plot of land up for auction in the near future as well.
It's nice to see more interactions and ideas being discussed on the Forum.
