A new MoneyGame update has just been released.
New Staff Member
The staff of MoneyGame now includes a new moderator, @Monke!
He will help keep the game clean from inappropiate behaviour and rule-breakers. Especially players using multiple accounts to play will be monitored more thoroughly.
Important Land Change
Land that has no construction built on it and has been owned for more than 21 days will be subject to a much higher land tax, equaling 20 times the normal daily tax. Existing pieces of land will be considered purchased at the time of this update. The new construction destruction feature also resets this timer.
We will of course monitor the results of these changes and make further adjustments if deemed necessary.
Rest of Changelog
- Added the possibility for land owners to destroy any existing constructions. This is free, however you will not receive back the money used for building the existing construction.
- Added a one-time 10 000 USD fee for turning a company public (IPO feature). All currently public companies have been turned private due to lack of share trades. Note that for companies turned public in the future, we will more actively monitor that all game rules are being followed.
- Added a Land section and updated some other articles in the Game Manual.
- Added functionality to the Forum that links @ mentions automatically to the player's profile page. You must use + sign for names with spaces.
- Fixed the lack of rounding for average article rating on newspaper company page.
- Fixed The Exchange My Offers and low/high bid information showing only 2 decimals when 4 are possible.
- Separated Buy and Sell offers to their own tables on The Exchange My Offers tab.
- Fixed a caching issue with the Updated Threads list on the Forum index.
- Fixed small design issues with the Popular Threads list especially on mobile.
- Added pagination buttons to the top of forum threads.
- Fixed quick links to send private message and add friend not working properly with usernames containing spaces.
- Fixed company deletion not being possible with paid back, rejected or forgiven bank loans.
- Fixed old forgiven loans not expiring.
- Made company deletion automatically move remaining money to the deleting player instead of requiring zero money held by the company.
- Added a "days since last seen" display to the player profile page when the player has last been seen over 2 days ago.
- Added a daily worked worker jobs counter to the Dashboard, below vaccination info.
- Fixed special character encoding breaking when editing a forum post multiple times.
- Fixed links to pieces of land not working on the Apartment Renting management page.
- Added instruction to set amount to 1 when trading or auctioning land.
- Fixed The Exchange Ticker loading very slowly at times.
- Fixed encoding issues with some special characters in e-mails sent by the game.
- Adjusted the game landing page "USD in circulation" to not errorneously include other currencies.
- Made various improvements to moderator tools, allowing for better supervision of the game.
