Understood that more companies will be created, but still the exchange would have higher competition. I did not consider the increase in high paying jobs, the issue is that people here are too kind and pay high wages even if it results in personal losses.
Thank you for the correction, I am also hoping that more people means more sane people who charge cheaper wages in order to produce cheaper, hopefully forcing prices down and wages with it. The few companies offering ridiculously high wages would have all jobs filled leaving the sane, profitable companies to produce cheaper and faster making a more liquid economy.
Also, real world markets are similar (although more liquid) than this game. I have been able to apply some of what I know to make decent profits from trading commodities on here (my low net worth is because a large amount is invested). Impressed by your mature response btw
Ik the game mechanics are similar in trading for buying stuff on exchange or investing into companies but they don't seem so in demand and supply side. Because rn most of the companies are useless, you don't need vaccines and medicines cus you need them like once a year or smh and no one needs cement which removed need for 5 items out of 11 on the exchange. Each person only needs 5 boost drinks and 3 food packs a day. Which is like working 2 times to generate them. So the main problem is that there would not be enough demand for items because there isn't enough uses for them. Unless admin adds more ways to use the items and reworks the jobs page into like city by city jobs or something else then till admin adds that more players would probably be bad for the game. So basically there is not enough uses for the items and there could probably be a over supply of each item
Even if there are more sane people there could be people who will put max wages and destroy profit margins to the point they are non existent ( pretty sure it happened during the time when xdcd was buying cement or at least that's what I understood from the old forum messages) unless ofc the admin adds wayy more droids as Bharat said so that you don't constantly need top wages to get workers.
But I 100% agree that the game is very similar to irl markets for trading or investing but it's not really the same for the wages market/production side of things.
My message was just a normal message it's not like we are fighting we are just discussing about what would theoretically happen if many players join this game and if the game would be able to handle those players.

If there was more ways to idk invest in your own company and grow it that would encourage more conservative spending. Unfortunately everyone just creates companies which droids would help with.
