Over the past week @XDCD has been very actively building in Helsinki. 10 new buildings have been constructed since last week's report on the 18th of August 2025.
We've gone down from 13 empty land plots in Finland/Helsinki, to only 3 empty plots remaining.
It seems these 10 newly constructed plots have been divided between both Marriott (Apartment Renting) and Amazon (Retail). Both these companies are 80% owned by XDCD Holdings and 20% are directly owned by @XDCD
I kinda expected him to start building in Germany as the land tax is double (€50/day normal, €1,000/day currently) from the land tax in Finland (€25/day normal, €500/day currently) as that would lower his daily overhead, but he seems to have other plans.
Empty land on 25th August 2025:
Germany/Berlin: 23
Brazil/Sao Paulo: 21 Finland/Helsinki: 3 (down from 13 last week!)
USA/LA: 9
USA/Chicago: 4
USA/NYC: 11 (incl. 2 from "Communism")
Total: 71 empty land
I don't have land myself so I can't look it up myself, does anyone know how much it costs to build on land so we can calculate what XDCD is spending on his endeavors?
