The game lacks enough content and feels pretty boring.
Right now you just log in, harvest resources, set workers to work and log off.
Here are some ideas for new game features:

1. Futures: Run by the in-game government. Item prices and price swings depend on total supply in the whole region.
2. Contracts: Deals between player companies. You can freely go long or short while the contract is active.
3. Regular official events, like bulk buy events. Example: Buy power at $0.5 each today (market price $0.3). A premium over market price keeps the game lively.
4. Tech research: Higher research levels boost production of related goods. For electricity: base production is 200 power. Power research level 1 adds 5% extra output to the base value (can tweak the number for balance).
5. Recruitment events: Not many players online. We need more promotions. For example, new players joining between day 1–10 who finish newbie tasks get $1000 starter cash.
6. Space content: Build factories to make rockets (hard to craft). Launches might blow up. If it succeeds, explore planets for gold, silver, iron, aluminum, etc. Building homes, shops and companies needs materials like bulldozers, rebar and concrete, just like real life. New players should get starter building materials so they don’t get stuck early on.

Just some ideas for reference.

Problem is, after cheating through the entire game, you lack the overall positive player base.

Number 3 occasionally happens when new land is added. I still believe consumables (like idk luxury stuff, stuff for braggers) and limited supply would fulfil the same purposes.

Problem with a whole space thing is it just kinda doesn't fit? Like I get what you mean, but I think it would need a similar idea, but with existing items and a bit closer to home.

Production upgrades would be good, but we already have too much supply. Especially with certain...alt accounts- producing excessively. The market barely holds itself up.

We could use a "black room" system. Simply put, repeatedly cheating accounts get separated from regular players. If you can’t fully ban them, isolate them. They only play with other cheaters, and the game will no longer be fun for them.

Ultimately, this stems from the small player base. With a large enough player population, commodity overstocking would not occur.
