I was trying to make a transaction from dollars to euros and I noticed that this is done on the stock exchange, which makes the process slow and more difficult. My impression is that I'm buying it as if it were any other type of gambling product.I believe it would be more efficient to create a way for automatic and instant currency exchange. It would make life easier for two players and make the market more dynamic and faster for transactions in foreign money.
welcome! the government (admins) have made some big ask and bid orders, to maintain stability. This also means you should normally always be able to trade currency (not at a profitable rate, but still).

It is attempting to simulate real markets with bids and asks, goes up and down (only slightly) so it should be easy enough if you buy on the asks side instantly or wait for it on the bids

It's not a stock exchange, it's just an exchange which includes resources, shares and currency.
Each has its own section, if you instantly want currency then you have to pay the price the seller is asking (this can be seen in the live data section for the top bidders and cheapest sellers)
That's literary a currency exchange and that's how a currency exchange works, your probably trying to buy at a price which there are no sellers for. If there is no one selling except the admin then you need to buy at his price. If anyone can buy at any price and sell at any price instantly then everyone would buy at 1$ and sell at 2$ which is not real value. and it is a real market except the players in the game might not be always trading currency. Maybe you dint understand how the exchange works? Because it does exactly what your saying
