My all time favorite games are, Undertale, Deltarune, Red Dead Redemption 2.
My current favorites are, Helldivers 2, Stellaris, PAYDAY 3.
I like stellaris, but I always lose my motivation to start or maintain an empire as soon as the start menu opens

It looks extremely complicated but my recommendation is to play on an easy difficulty and only focus on the basic stuff and ignore the complicated stuff. The game is still pretty fun and extremely addicting even if you only engage with the basic stuff. Also if you have a 2nd monitor I recommend you put on a Youtube video (I prefer Joe Bart videos because he yaps a lot) while playing the game on the main monitor.
Also the game does take a long time, I'm still on my first playthrough at the fastest game speed and I have 15 hours in the game and the game still hasn't finished. Also I would recommend you buy the Utopia DLC because it is the best DLC of the game and very important.
And the only reason I started playing Stellaris was because of Helldivers because I wanted a game where I could manage Super Earth and there are actual mods that let you do that in the game.
