yeah i already have, it's in early access but does require commitment,
in that the missions are estimated 40-90 minutes
Do you play solo or team? Is there progression like you get level/better weapons/ships?
I might just get it to try it out and refund it if I really don't like it in the first 2 hours

I played mostly solo but also did play a bit with a friend,
you do progress but it is primarily in augmentations to your suit which really help but kinda push you to specialize,
you can get a second, much smaller, ship named the Dt-4 Dart, but in my opinion it is not as good as the catamaran which is the starting ship, you do repair the catamaran later on, plus you can exchange the weapons on the ships so you can play in a lot of ways.
plus the game does have several weapons each with a base model and three modified ones that are generally better,
I recommend the VSR halberd due to it being a good all-rounder, if you need range the you should get a javelin ( forgot what the rest of the name is)
if you are willing to sacrifice movement for more power then there is a LMG, if you want a replaceable more mobile option to the rest then the sideclip is a good option but it does sacrifice damage, the Maw-23 is good in close quarters but for some enemies it is not a good option,
if you don't want a gun, there are also wrenches, and pipes, which you can take off the battlefield and use in melee, alternatively if you can there is a heat blade, though it has no modifications and is pretty rare
