It was indeed an attempt at a tongue in cheek joke lol
All salaries dropped over the past few days so it didn't make sense to pay $10 above other wages (so sorta because of greed). Because I fired at least 10 player names that I recognized from the Forum I just thought it would be funny to post a fake nonsense apology like some CEOs do when they do mass layoffs
This probably completely ruined the joke but I felt better writing it out, so there you have it 😆
